First Book

Hello fellow book lovers!

How about a discussion on our first book?

I've got Sophie's Choice by William Styron and The Pirate's Daughter by Margaret Cezair-Thompson sitting around waiting to be read if anyone fancies either of those! But I'm always open to new books :)

  2. Managed to Follow - YES will read anything so as soon as a book is decided upon let me know - Would it be a good idea to have a list for the year -Ordering from the library often involves a LONG wait here...

  3. How about using books off the BBC Reading List. There are 100 and I've only read 21 of them. I can send a list of them around if you like.

Noodle, you can buy book off Ebay dirt cheap and if we chose some classic books then maybe some friends or family would have a copy for you.

  6. Not so sure about the BBC Reading List, it's got some quite heavy stuff on there - not sure the 'classics' would go down so well?

  7. well if we're talking about the one listed when one types in bbc top 100 reading list- there are alot of modern classics on there too which would be good to read. ( but i'm quite a fan of "classics" :P ) and we can vote/choose them anyway...

  8. Why don't we each just pick whatever book we want and review it as i know not everyone's into the same genre of books and it means more books will also get reviewed.
